In a horrific story out of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, a woman has been arrested and charged with the rape of a child after posting a video on social media of herself sexually assaulting a 5-year-old boy.
Police arrested the woman, Corby Kinzey, 24, Tuesday night at her home in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. After initially blaming a masked gunman for her actions, she broke down and admitted to everything.
“The investigation began when the mother of Kinzey’s former boyfriend reported the incident to police,” CBS Pittsburgh reports. “She showed video of the incident to police, which she had received from her son’s new girlfriend. The new girlfriend had found the video on her social media account earlier in the day.”
CBS reports that the video allegedly shows Kinzy “performing a sex act on a 5-year-old boy.”
Police quickly obtained a search warrant and converged on her home at around 10 p.m. Tuesday night. After Kinzey answered the door, they placed her in handcuffs and took her to city hall. They also obtained a cell phone and laptop at her residence.
Police say that when they asked her why she thought they wanted to speak to her, Kinzey replied, “It’s about the video.”
She then told them her since-recanted story about a masked and gloved man named “Patrick” who supposedly put a gun to her head and forced her to perform the sex acts on the child while videotaping it on her cell phone. He threatened to kill her if she went to authorities, she claimed.
After police pushed back on the story, however, she broke down and admitted that it was a complete fabrication and admitted to sexually assaulting the child.
CBS reports that her list of charged include “rape, rape of a child, sexual assault, sexual abuse of children, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors.”
