David Simon, creator of hit HBO shows “The Wire” and “The Deuce,” joined the chorus of leftists openly hoping that Hurricane Dorian destroys President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

In a tweet on Saturday, Simon went beyond just hoping that Mar-a-Lago be decimated by the hurricane, arguing that God’s “goodness” can only be demonstrated if He flattens Trump’s home.

“After the last three years, the work of a just and righteous God cannot be considered credible evidence of His goodness unless He picks all of Mar-a-lago up by the roots, sails it across half of Florida and heaves it on top of Doral and its every last bedbug,” tweeted Simon.

Simon’s tweet came in response to a report stating that Mar-a-Lago stands in the path of Hurricane Dorian:

After considerable backlash, David Simon referred to his critics as “f***nuts” and doubled-down on his blatant use of God’s name in vain.

“F***nuts, we are invoking an omnipotent divinity capable of heaving one Trump sh**hole atop another, destroying the realty and leaving no other soul’s hair mussed. And hey, roaming twitter with a flatlining sense of humor and some manufactured outrage just sucks unwashed a**,” he tweeted.

Simon’s tweet came just days after former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell openly said she was “rooting for a direct hit on Mar-a-Lago!” – a tweet she subsequently deleted and for which she apologized.

“I have deleted my tweet about the hurricane & Mar a Lago and sincerely apologize to all it offended,” Campbell said after online backlash. “It was intended as sarcasm-not a serious wish of harm. Throwaway lines get a life of their own on Twitter. I shd know better. Mea culpa.”

“The Wire” creator David Simon has a history of issuing disgusting and incendiary tweets toward President Trump and his supporters. In 2017, when Robert Mueller kicked off the investigation into Russian collusion, Simon called upon people to enact political violence if Trump ever fired him.

“If Donald Trump fires Robert Mueller and is allowed to do so, pick up a g*dd*mn brick. That’s all that’s left to you,” he tweeted at the time.

Several months later, Simon then briefly spent some time in Twitter jail when he openly wished for a Trump supporter to die a slow, agonizing death.

“You should die of a slow-moving venereal rash that settles in your lying throat,” Simon said.

Shortly thereafter, Twitter locked Simon out of his account. In a post on his website, Simon doubled-down on his death wish by refusing to apologize while expressly hoping that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will “die of boils.”

“Suffice to say that while you can arrive on Twitter and disseminate the untethered and anti-human opinion that mothers who have their children kidnapped and held incommunicado from them at the American border are criminals — and both mother and child deserve that fate — or that 14-year-old boys who survive the Holocaust are guilty of betraying fellow Jews when there is no evidence of such, you CANNOT wish that the people who traffic in such vile shit should crawl off and die of a fulminant venereal rash,” he wrote. “Slander is cool, brutality is acceptable. But the hyperbolic and comic hope that a just god might smite the slanderer or brutalizer with a deadly skin disorder is somehow beyond the pale. Die of boils, Jack.”
