Amid national unrest over the tragic death of George Floyd during an arrest in Minneapolis, President Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday to usher in sweeping police reform, most specifically, the banning of chokeholds unless an “an officer’s life is at risk.”
Speaking from the White House Rose Garden on Tuesday, the president maintained his love for police before promoting “the highest professional standards” that he promised to be as “high and as strong as there is on Earth.”
