Female Democrat representatives dressed in all white to apparently pay homage to suffragettes for President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
But the Women in White exposed themselves. Nearly all female Democrats remained stone-faced when President Trump spoke of protecting the life of pain-capable unborn babies (as well as when he cheered low unemployment for minorities and the disabled and urged the fight to end sex trafficking), while they cheered wildly for themselves – the only point during the entire highly bipartisan speech they felt so compelled to enthusiastically cheer.
“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days,” President Trump said. “Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments from birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world. And then, we had the case of the Governor of Virginia where he stated he would execute a baby after birth. To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb. Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life.”
Nearly all Democrats were visibly upset at Trump’s remarks to call for the protection of pain-capable babies and their mothers from gruesome, complication-prone late-term abortion. The Women in White were, again, stone-faced:
It’s worth noting, by the way, that many of the suffragettes were explicitly pro-life. It was Susan B. Anthony, in her famous speech “Social Purity,” who expressly denounced abortion and infanticide, for example. “The prosecutions on our courts for breach of promise, divorce, adultery, bigamy, seduction, rape; the newspaper reports every day of every year of scandals and outrages, of wife murders and paramour shooting, of abortions and infanticides, are perpetual reminders of men’s incapacity to cope successfully with this monster evil of society,” Anthony said in 1875.
The president then spoke highly of women’s success under his presidency and singled out of the impressive number of women in Congress. “Exactly one century after Congress passed the constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote, we also have more women serving in Congress than at any time before,” he announced proudly.
The Democrat Women in White cheered for themselves as if they were at a ball game and even chanted “USA,” a rarity for modern Democrats:
Our Women in White, our modern feminists, are not as intersectional as they claim. In fact, the Democrat women seemed to only care about are themselves, judging by their applause last night. The female unborn are of no mind for the Women in White, nor are the mothers too often victimized by abortion, nor are the female victims of sex-trafficking. Never has the hollowness of modern feminism’s activism been on plainer display.
