On Tuesday, far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) accused conservative witness Vicki Porter of engaging in a “conspiracy” for “winking” during a congressional oversight and reform hearing on vaping.
Porter, a 51-year-old Wisconsin woman who quit smoking after 23 years with the help of vaping products, was invited by Republicans to speak at the hearing. Tlaib, disturbed by the witness’ apparently conservative personal politics, tried to discredit Porter through a bizarre “conspiracy” charge — even though it was President Donald Trump, a Republican, who recently pushed a flavored vaping ban.
“Ms. Porter, I was reading because I wanted to know more about you and your beliefs and I respect that — we all have different beliefs,” started in the Democrat. “But you call yourself a ‘converted conservative’ and ‘reformed Marxist’? Are you a conspiracy theorist?”
“I think my politics are entirely irrelevant to this hearing,” Porter replied.
“Oh okay, why were you winking at one of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle? You winked,” Tlaib pressed.
“Because I know Glenn Grothman,” Porter answered.
“So the winking —,” interrupted Tlaib.
“He introduced me. He’s a friend of mine,” said Porter.
Tlaib then amped up the the strange attack on the witness.
“Okay, [I] understand,” she said. “I didn’t know what the winking was, ’cause I thought maybe there was something, like a conspiracy thing going on there. I didn’t know.”
Porter asked the congresswoman, “You think theres a conspiracy in this hearing, ma’am?”
“No, no,” Tlaib, seemingly annoyed, answered. “People are speaking truth here, and you can provide information —.”
“May I address the truth?” asked Porter.
“Well the truth to you is very different for the majority of people in this room who do believe children are being targeted,” the Democrat told Porter.
“The truth for me is that I quit smoking with e-cigarettes and so did eight million other people,” the witness answered.
“You’re still smoking, ma’am. You’re still smoking,” Tlaib told Porter, smiling.

Tlaib followed up the hit on Porter by claiming secondhand smoke is worse for people than actually smoking, according to “scientists.”

The Democratic representative has a history of aggressive behavior. As previously reported by The Daily Wire, a video from 2016 shows Tlaib, then a private citizen, losing it at an economic speech of then-candidate Donald Trump.
A screaming and flailing Tlaib is removed from the event by security. “You guys are crazy!” she is heard yelling.

Moreover, in January, Tlaib (D-MI) dropped the F-word and called for President Trump’s impeachment during a far-left MoveOn.org event in Washington, D.C. “When your son looks at you and said, ‘Mamm, look, you won — bullies don’t win.’ And I said, ‘Baby they don’t, because we’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the motherf***er!'” screamed Tlaib.
The Democrat co-authored an op-ed in the Detroit Free Press echoing the same. “President Donald Trump is a direct and serious threat to our country,” she wrote. “On an almost daily basis, he attacks our Constitution, our democracy, the rule of law and the people who are in this country. His conduct has created a constitutional crisis that we must confront now.”
