On Thursday, President Donald Trump addressed the NATO leaders from 28 countries at the alliance’s headquarters in Brussels. Before giving a hard-line speech in which he called out NATO leaders to pay their pledged share of two percent GDP toward defense, the president appeared to push aside a prime minister to get to the front of the group.
In the video clip seen below, President Trump pushes back Montenegro Prime Minister Dusko Markovic, patting him on the stomach, and moving to his place at the front of the group. Prime Minister Markovic can be seen grinning during the interaction.

Here’s the seeming power-move in slow-motion:
Currently, only five countries, including the United States, pay the required two percent of GDP toward defense; the U.S. pays nearly four percent.
During the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump’s stance on NATO was even more skeptical than it is now. At one point, candidate Trump called the military alliance “obsolete,” a remark he has since walked back. But the president made it clear on Thursday that the United States will continue to put pressure on our allies to pay their share toward their defense.
