An undercover video from journalist James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas featuring a New York City Democratic election official slamming Democrats’ opposition to voter ID legislation and detailing the rampant voter fraud in the state was released on Tuesday.
The official is Alan Schulkin, the commissioner of the board of elections in New York City, reports Project Veritas. The undercover video was reportedly shot in December of 2015, during a United Federation of Teachers holiday party.
On video, Schulkin admits that there is “a lot” of voter fraud happening in New York, as the blue state has no voter ID laws. He also gives a good verbal smack to NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio for his “absurd” motion to hand out ID cards in lieu of drivers licenses, which Schulkin asserts leads to “all types of fraud” at the expense of the tax-payer.
“I think there’s a lot of voter fraud, people don’t realize certain neighborhoods in particular, they bus people around to vote,” says Schulkin.
“They put them in a bus and go from poll site to poll site,” he adds.
“Oh like minority neighborhoods, like black neighborhoods and Hispanic neighborhoods?” inquires the undercover female.
“Yeah. And Chinese too,” the official replies.
After the female asks for clarification as to why this is done, suggesting it be for the gain of the Democratic Party, Schulkin replies: “For votes. More votes for themselves. They’re all running for office.”
The two then discuss the lack of voter ID legislation in New York: “The law says you can’t ask for anything. Which they really should be able to do,” the Democrat asserts.
The female then asks: “You think they should have voter ID in New York?”
“Voters? Yeah, they should ask for your ID. I think there is a lot of voter fraud,” he answers. “You know, I don’t think it’s too much to ask somebody to show some kind of an ID . . . You go into a building, you have to show them your ID.”
Schulkin then slams Mayor de Blasio, and Democrats at large, for their opposition to common sense legislation to stop voter fraud. He says it’s one reason he becomes “more conservative” the older he gets.
“He gave out ID cards, de Blasio. That’s in lieu of a driver’s license, but you can use it for anything,” he states. “…But they didn’t vet people to see who they really are. Anybody can go in there and say, ‘I am Joe Smith, I want an ID card.
“It’s absurd. There is a lot of fraud. Not just voter fraud, all kinds of fraud,” he continues. “This is why I get more conservative as I get older.”
During the conversation, the two even discuss burkas as a possible aid to such fraud.
“Your vote isn’t really counting because they can go in there with a burka on and you don’t know if they are a voter,” says the Democratic offical. “Your vote gets discounted because they come in with a burka and they can vote.”
“I think there’s a lot of voter fraud, people don’t realize certain neighborhoods in particular, they bus people around to vote.”

When asked about his comments by the The New York Post, Schulkin stood by his statements, but added, “I should have said ‘potential fraud’ instead of ‘fraud.’”
