Michael Knowles recently tackled the story of the new “drag kid”, and how “disturbing” it is that the media will not call it out for what it really is. On Tuesday’s episode of “The Michael Knowles Show,” the host talked about the issues with dressing one’s 10-year-old son in drag, then parading him out in public with grown men in sexually suggestive clothes.
“One of the most disturbing stories that I’ve seen in a long time is the new ‘drag kid.’ I guess it’s the most disturbing story since the last story about a drag kid,” he explained. “This happened with this kid, they call him ‘Desmond is Amazing.’ Now there’s a new kid, a 10-year-old Canadian boy named Nemis Quinn Mélançon Golden. He was featured in a very troubling piece in Huck magazine. It was just talking about his life as a child drag queen, and it gets even creepier than some of the other ones because he posed for a photo with a drag queen named Violet Chachki, who is this guy who won season 7 of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ who in the photo was naked.”
