An uncomfortable interview with actress Megan Fox on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” has resurfaced following reports of the embattled host allegedly saying the N-word on a past Christmas album and donning blackface in old “Man Show” sketches.
During the interview with Fox, Kimmel approvingly laughs when the actress recalled director Michael Bay allegedly sexualizing her when she was just 15 years old.
During one scene, Bay apparently directed a young Fox, who had “just turned 15,” to stand under a waterfall while wearing a bikini and heels, since she was too young to be sitting at a bar.
“[Bay’s] solution to that problem was to then have me dancing under a waterfall getting soaking wet,” Fox told Kimmel, according to Fox News. “At 15, I was in 10th grade. That’s sort of a microcosm of how Bay’s mind works.”
Kimmel approvingly laughed, adding, “Well that’s really a microcosm of how all our minds work, but some of us have the decency to repress those thoughts and pretend that they don’t exist.”
As reported by Fox News, folks online blasted both Bay and Kimmel for their actions and reactions to the uncomfortable story:
“Michael Bay has always been so up himself, this doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s totally unacceptable, the response was totally unacceptable and the fact nothing has been done about it is totally unacceptable,” said one person.
Wrote another person: “This is disgusting. Why hasn’t @jimmykimmel or @michaelbay been called out on this atrocious behaviour before? How does all of this start to surface now, years later, when it should’ve been dealt with then and there?”
“What an utterly disgusting take by Kimmel. Why is, ‘I’m so sorry that happened to you’, something that is beyond his imagination to say,” wrote one user. “Instead he offers, ‘We all have those thoughts, but we repress them’. God damn, she was 15. Who the Hell is ‘We’?”
“His response is even worse what the hell,” said another of Kimmel.
A third added: “[He] basically said, ‘we all have thoughts sexualizing minors but we keep quiet about it bc we are good guys’ i knew there was a reason i always instinctively disliked jimmy kimmel.”
During the same “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show, the host jokingly showed off a picture he drew of him and Fox in a bed apparently making out together, Fox News noted.
On Monday, Kimmel, who consistently preaches left-wing politics and smears the president as racist, was pummeled in the press over reports that he allegedly used the “N-word” multiple times in a song for a Christmas album recorded in 1996.
Ironically, as noted by The Daily Wire, “Kimmel previously pressed actor Tom Arnold to release an alleged ‘N-word’ tape of President Donald Trump, which has not materialized.”
Additionally, Kimmel’s past blackface appearances have gained renewed attention. “Kimmel, as a co-host of the ‘The Man Show,’ performed a recurring skit that included him dressed in blackface as then-NBA star Karl Malone,” The Hill reported over the weekend. “Videos and photos of the skits on the show, which ran from 1999-2004, have been circulating online recently with calls for Kimmel to apologize.”
Kimmel recently announced that he’ll be taking the summer off, an announcement that came on the heels of the resurfaced blackface sketches.
“I’m taking this summer off to spend even more time with my family,” Kimmel announced, last week. “There’s nothing wrong. I’m healthy, my family’s healthy, I just need a couple of months off.”
“While I’m gone, a cavalcade of very kind and capable people will be filling in for me,” he added.
