On Thursday night, in response to the odd uncovering of Newsweek writer and MSNBC contributor Kurt Eichenwald’s anime porn fetish and his even more bizarre “tentacle porn” cover-up story, Fox News host Tucker Carlson begged media higher-ups to “help” Eichenwald, whom he labeled a “troubled man.”
Carlson has had a previous run-in with Eichenwald — well, more specifically the Newsweek writer had a meltdown of epic proportions on a Tucker Carlson Tonight appearance months ago. Ironically railing at Carlson’s show, Eichenwald accidentally posted a photo of his computer to Twitter which exposed his fetish for hardcore, animated Japanese pornography. In a bizarre cover-up attempt, Eichenwald said he and his children were merely surfing the web for some “tentacle porn” so he could prove to his wife that it exists. How he ended up on anime “schoolgirl uniform” porn is still a little murky, to say the least.
Carlson reported what happened and then made the case that Eichenwald was being exploited by his employers, pleading for them to “help” the writer instead.
“For real, this is a troubled man,” said the Fox host. “It doesn’t help Kurt Eichenwald to pretend he is okay. He is not okay. He should not be on Twitter, he needs help.”
Carlson continued: “Newsweek gets clicks, MSNBC gets viewers. It’s awful. They’re exploiting him. It’s cruel. So these supposedly news organizations, a plea, for real: Stop Kurt Eichenwald before he tweets again. He will thank you later for that if you do.”
