On Friday, President Trump issued a pair of tweets slamming the “top leadership and investigators” at the FBI and Justice Department for having “politicized the sacred investigative process.” The blistering statements come as details emerge about the newly-declassified memo describing the actions of the FBI and DOJ regarding the notorious “unverified” Steele dossier — a DNC and Clinton campaign-funded opposition research document — and its role in obtaining FISA warrants to investigate Trump’s associates.
“The top Leadership and Investigators of the FBI and the Justice Department have politicized the sacred investigative process in favor of Democrats and against Republicans – something which would have been unthinkable just a short time ago. Rank & File are great people!” Trump wrote Friday morning.
