The Explosive Clue Unearthed In Ilhan Omar’s Own Memoir

The case against her keeps building.

It’s time for a little story.

This story comes from Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) memoir.

Her memoir says, “I was eight years old when civil war broke out in Somalia.”

Why does that matter?

Because civil war broke out in Somalia in 1989, which means she was born in 1981, which means that she almost certainly lied about her age when she obtained citizenship — and then lied about lying.

Now she may end up prosecuted and even deported.

Get out the world’s smallest violin for this America-hating import from the Third World.

Almost every day the evidence becomes clearer that Omar almost certainly lied about her age in order to obtain American citizenship and lied on much of her paperwork ever since.

That means she would be prosecutable and deportable.

She says that she was born in 1982. This matters because when she obtained citizenship, she essentially did so on daddy’s green card, and you have to be under 18 to do that. If she were a little older, she would have obtained her citizenship much later than she should have.

This is a problem for her. It means she obtained her citizenship illegally.

She now says that she was born Ilhan Omar in Mogadishu, Somalia. In reality, her name wasn’t Ilhan Omar; her real name is Elmi.

We don’t know how old she actually is, but her original birth year, according to the Minnesota House of Representatives profile, was 1981, which again means that she was too old to receive citizenship via her father, who was a high-ranking military colonel under the Marxist military dictatorship of Mohamed Siad Barre, which runs counter to his refugee status under U.S. law as well.

In 1991, Omar and her family relocated to Kenya during the Somali civil war; in 1995, she and her family received refugee status and came to the United States, first to Arlington, Virginia, then to Minneapolis.

It is probable that Omar did not even enter under her true name. Her dad’s surname is Elmi, not Omar.

The allegation is that certain family members went to the U.K. under the name Elmi. The rest of the family that emigrated to the U.S. went by the name Omar to use a different family’s refugee status to gain their own.

She allegedly became a naturalized U.S. citizen at age 17. But she was probably 18, which would have made her ineligible for naturalization.

There are layers and layers of fraud here. That is a problem. And then, of course, as we have traced before, she almost certainly married her brother because she had a religious union with a man named Ahmed Hirsi in 2002. In 2008, she separated from Ahmed Hirsi on religious grounds. They had a couple of kids. And then in 2009, she married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.

Weird, because her actual name is, most likely, Ilhan Nur Said Elmi. In 2011, she got a faith-based separation from Elmi. And Elmi had filed a marriage-based petition to gain permanent U.S. residency.

But when federal immigration authorities asked for evidence of the marriage’s bona fides, he withdrew his petition because he realized in all likelihood that they were going to be able to uncover the fact that he was her brother.

Apparently, Omar also has unexplained financial issues.

According to The Washington Free Beacon, “Omar’s financial situation is anything but basic. It includes enviable taxpayer-funded perks that she accepts as a member of Congress to cover her living expenses, millions of dollars that her campaign paid her husband’s former consulting firm, and a mysterious $11.25 million cash infusion that her husband’s venture capital company received from an Indian billionaire in 2024.”

The Free Beacon reported on Omar’s current husband, Tim Mynett:

From there, Mynett teamed up with former DNC adviser Will Hailer to launch a series of hamfisted business ventures, including a California winery, a South Dakota-based marijuana investment firm, and an international venture capital firm called Rose Lake Capital, all of which found themselves mired in lawsuits and allegations of fraud by 2024, the Washington Free Beacon reported. Mynett and Hailer’s businesses resolved their debts and disputes by the end of 2024, shortly after Rose Lake Capital received a mysterious infusion of $11.25 million from an Indian billionaire.

All of this is incredibly suspicious.

Yet despite the many questions that have arisen about Omar, both on immigration and fraud, the Left is claiming that the only reason people are upset about Ilhan Omar and the reason she’s found herself in the legal crosshairs is not that she almost certainly committed criminal activity here on a wide variety of bases, ranging from falsification of marriage documents to commit immigration fraud on behalf of her brother, to the possibility of falsifying her own birth year in order to commit immigration fraud on behalf of herself, to possible financial malfeasance.

No, it’s because she’s just too good and kind.

More than 170 House Democrats have demanded that the Department of Justice drop its investigation into Ilhan Omar. In a letter to Attorney General Todd Blanche and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, they claim the investigation into her immigration history is weaponizing the DOJ.

Listening to Democrats complain about weaponization of the DOJ after it was used as a blunt instrument against President Trump is astonishing.

They say the DOJ has long followed a policy of not taking investigative steps related to a candidate close to an election if delaying the action will not jeopardize a criminal investigation, and Omar is seeking reelection in one week.

Let’s be real: That policy is designed specifically for close elections, not for a race where Omar will win in a walk in her own congressional district.

They write, “This type of interference strips Minnesotans of their right to a free and fair election guaranteed to them under the Constitution. Your actions are clearly driven by a predetermined political outcome rather than an objective pursuit of justice.”

Let’s point out the insane irony here: Democrats are openly calling for lawfare right now against everyone that they can think of. At the same time, 170 Democrats are saying you must leave Ilhan Omar alone; that it is lawfare; Congressman Ro Khanna (D- CA) wants to introduce what he calls a truth and accountability commission for all of the Trump family.

Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) tweeted out, “Investigate Elon Musk.”

What crime is Elon Musk supposed to have committed?

When I hear Democrats caterwauling about the fact that Elon Musk almost certainly committed a crime and then saying the investigation of Ilhan Omar is a “weaponization of justice,” my reaction is, “You guys have been doing this for years and years and years on end.”

In fact, the House Judiciary Democrats dropped a report suggesting that Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of young women. There’s literally nothing new in this report at all. The reason Democrats are doing this is that they wish to keep mud on President Trump based on literally no actual evidence. They are perfectly willing to weaponize the Justice Department and Congress itself to investigate all of their political opposition.

But when there is evidence of crime, as there certainly is with regard to Omar, they get very upset.

She hates the country. She has always hated the country.

Omar wrote a letter to a federal judge on behalf of an ISIS terrorist before she was in Congress, saying:

The desire to commit violence is not inherent to people — it is the consequences of systematic alienation; people seek violent solutions when the process established for enacting change is inaccessible to them. Fueled by disaffection turned to malice, if the guilty were willing to kill and be killed fighting perceived injustice, imagine the consequence of them hearing, “I believe you can be rehabilitated. I want you to become part of my community, and together we will thrive.”

We use this form of distributive justice for patients with chemical dependencies; treatment and societal reintegration. The most effective penance is making these men ambassadors of reform.

The restorative approach provides a long-term solution — though the self-declared Islamic State may soon suffer defeat, their radical approach to change-making will continue as it has throughout history — by criminalizing the undergirding construct rather than its predisposed victims.

You see, ISIS just has a “radical approach to change-making,” and we should stop “criminalizing the undergirding construct rather than its predisposed victims,” according to Omar.

The good news is she apparently violated federal law, so we should be able to deport her.
