As <a href="http://www.wsj.com/articles/target-to-spend-20-million-to-roll-out-private-bathrooms-to-all-stores-1471453630">reported</a> by The Wall Street Journal on Thursday, Target Corp. has announced that they will pour $20 million dollars into single-occupancy restrooms by next year in order to ease controversy over their move in April to allow &#8220;gender identity&#8221; to dictate customers&#8217; bathrooms and fitting-rooms rather than biology. 
Cathy Smith, Target&#8217;s finance chief, explained that the move is in direct response to the pushback they have received from costumers over their new transgender policy, although Smith contends that customers&#8217; discontent and vocal opposition did not impact their bottom line.
