   DailyWire.com

On Friday morning, a shooter opened fire at a middle school in Indiana. Early reports indicate that two people were critically wounded, and authorities say the suspect is in custody.

The shooting took place inside Noblesville West Middle School in Noblesville, Indiana, Friday morning. WDTN reports that two people were injured and appear to be in “critical condition.”

One of the victims is a 13-year-old girl; the other is an adult. Both have been transported to the IU Health Methodist hospital.

“We have two that have been injured that have been taken to Methodist Hospital. I don’t have any names. I don’t have any updates on their status,” said Indiana State Police Captain Dave Bursten.

Officials say the shooter is in custody and the situation has been contained.

Police put the school on lockdown as the SWAT team swept the building, News 8 reports. According to a teacher at the school, some students were relocated to the high school while others were being “kept in closets” until they could be moved.

“One student told News 8 that he heard several shots fired but did not know if they were fired inside or outside of the building,” WDTN reports.
