On Tuesday, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton got schlonged by socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in the New Hampshire primary by 22 percentage points. Still, Queen Hillary walked away with possibly two more delegates than Sanders numbered in his post-superdelegate count.
The delegate split pre-superdelegate count was based on popular vote; with a total of 24 “pledged” delegates, Sanders received 13 whereas Hillary only received nine (two currently remain “allotted to neither”). Sanders obviously won more delegates here because “pledged” delegates are mandated to line-up behind the candidate as reflected in the popular vote.
