Samantha Bee and Patton Oswalt Mock Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers. Here Are 5 Things They Ignore.

   DailyWire.com

In the least funny “comedy” sketch to ever hit the airwaves, former The Daily Show contributor Samantha Bee and purported comedian Patton Oswalt mocked pro-life pregnancy centers. Per the extreme Leftists, such centers are not real clinics but instead are “a complete hustle” and “complete assholes.”

Without a hint of irony, the sketch focuses on a woman who tells her story about getting supposedly scammed into not killing her baby in the womb by a pro-life pregnancy center.

“I love my son, absolutely, but I’ll be very honest with you. If I could do this all over again, I would have an abortion,” she said.

Just what every kid wants to hear: Mommy wishes she would’ve killed me in the womb.

Setting aside the unbearably awkward, tasteless and unfunny garbage being presented as comedy, the sketch ignores the truth about pro-life pregnancy centers.

Here are five things Bee and Oswalt ignore:

1. Pro-life pregnancy centers save lives, a lot of lives.

The most important thing the two “comedians” ignore is that pro-life pregnancy centers save lives; an estimated 300,000 babies in 2015 alone. Per Life News:

The numbers, published in the first-annual Life Trends Report, draw only from Heartbeat International’s 1,300 locations in the U.S., but point to 160,000 lives rescued from the threat of abortion in 2015 alone.

Overall, there are 2,500 life-affirming pregnancy help centers and medical clinics in the U.S., including those who affiliate with Heartbeat International, Care Net, National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA), Life Matters Worldwide and local organizations who do not affiliate with broader networks.

Adding in the number of mothers who have chosen life for their babies in 2015 at pregnancy centers and medically licensed pregnancy clinics not affiliated with Heartbeat International, the number of lives saved would jump to 300,000—the size of Pittsburgh or Cincinnati.”

2. Pro-life pregnancy centers offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI screenings and other services to women.

Pro-life pregnancy centers are especially essential for low-income women who cannot afford pregnancy tests, ultra sounds, STI screenings, parenting classes, assistance with adoption and other services. These entities often offer up all these services, plus more, free of charge; whereas, abortion centers like Planned Parenthood can charge up to $30 for a single pregnancy test and often reject patients’ requests for an ultrasound.

3. A national poll suggests that Americans overwhelmingly prefer life-affirming pregnancy centers over abortion providing agencies.

No, women are not being “conned” into keeping their child, Mr. Oswalt. In fact, women and men, overwhelmingly, have said that they prefer life-affirming centers over abortion centers, according to an Charlotte Lozier Institute national poll. Per Red Front:

“An impressive 80 percent of respondents reported a “favorable view” of pregnancy centers with 46 percent of women and 37 percent of men saying “very favorable.” Such results speak to broad-based support of charitable abortion alternatives outreach and expansion of such outreach.

The question clearly asked whether survey participants held positive or negative feelings about organizations that provide abortions with the same range of favorable and unfavorable ratings (Planned Parenthood was not specifically named in this question). The responses indicated a sharp divergence in opinions with 49 percent positive impressions and 43 percent negative impressions.”

4. Pro-life pregnancy centers often offer support to women struggling post-abortion. Abortion nuts condemn them for this. Seriously.

Many pro-life pregnancy centers offer up counseling services for women struggling post-abortion, showing compassion for the whole woman, not merely their bottom line like Planned Parenthood. Disturbingly, pro-abortion fanatics have attacked pro-life entities for this, claiming counseling women adds to the “abortion stigma.”

Unbelievable.

5. Pro-life pregnancy centers are consistently under attack by Leftists like Bee and Oswalt and the Planned Parenthood establishment.

Planned Parenthood claims to be a non-profit but they are rolling in the dough. For instance, CEO Cecile Richards brought in over $590,000 in 2015. Because of this, pro-life pregnancy centers are targeted for termination, much like babies are targeted for termination at Planned Parenthood.

Legislation has been pushed to force pro-life centers to essentially advocate for abortion to all their patients. In effect, many centers have been forced to shut down due to their non-compliance and subsequent substantial monetary fines.

Abortion mouthpiece extensions, like Oswalt and Bee, help to propagate the same myths and fear-mongering over pro-life centers, which work every day to save countless lives. In the process, Oswalt and Bee are apparently trying to abort comedy, too.
