Former Vice President Joe Biden issued his first public statement on a sexual assault allegation against him made over a month ago by a former Senate staffer.
Biden issued a lengthy statement on Medium on Friday morning denying the allegation by Tara Reade, who worked with then-Sen. Biden in the 1990s. Biden’s statement was posted before the presumptive Democratic nominee appeared on MSNBC to speak about the accusation, the 26th network media interview he has done since the allegation came to light and the 1st time he has been directly asked about it.
