At a rally in Iowa on Wednesday, protesters interrupted President Trump as he was in the middle of offering “thoughts and prayers” for Steve Scalise, the Republican congressman who was critically wounded by an unhinged left-wing gunman last week. The reactions of both Trump and his supporters to the tasteless timing of the interruption is worth watching.
After congratulating Republicans on their big victories in this week’s special elections in Georgia and South Carolina, Trump took a moment to send some thoughts and prayers to Scalise and all those impacted by the shooter.
