In case you were looking for a pro-Antifa “summer camp with a conscience” for the kiddies this summer, Massachusetts progressives have you covered.
MA-based Camp Kinderland, dubbed “Commie Camp,” apparently had children attending the “multicultural summer camp” create their own Antifa flags. Mark Bray, a Dartmouth scholar who wrote “The Anti-Fascist Handbook,” posted “super rad” photos from the camp on his Twitter feed; his book notably included in the photos:
Antifa is an openly violent radical left-wing group claiming to stand against fascism. Their rioting, violence, and vandalism have become increasingly common since the election of President Donald Trump.
According to their official site, Camp Kinderland is “an oasis for children ages 8 to 16; a place where they can be themselves, feel at ease, and work and play in an atmosphere of cooperation and trust.”
“We envision a world where all people live in peace, with economic, racial, and social justice; where children thrive in inclusive, nurturing communities that honor their individual strengths and promote collective responsibility,” reads the camp’s “vision statement.”
As noted by The Daily Caller News Foundation, “Film director Katie Halper termed the camp ‘Commie Camp’ in a 2013 film.”
