‘Our Churches Are Essential’: Cardinal Timothy Dolan Praises SCOTUS Ruling Against Cuomo

Cardinal Timothy Dolan on Thursday praised the recent Supreme Court ruling in favor of the Roman Catholic diocese of Brooklyn.

“I’d like to congratulate [Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio] and the @BrooklynDiocese on their victory for religious freedom in the U. S. Supreme Court. Our churches are essential,” tweeted Dolan, who is also the archbishop of New York. “While we have been and will continue to adhere to all safety protocols to protect our communities, it is also important to protect that fundamental Constitutional right, religious liberty.”
