On the surface, it might seem like &#8220;wokeness&#8221; and the extreme excesses of Left-wing ideology have been defeated, or at least neutralized. But that&#8217;s not the case. The most destructive and anti-American impulses of the Left have not been defeated. They haven&#8217;t suddenly realized the errors of their ways.
Instead, like a malignant cancer, they have mutated. They&#8217;ve identified different ways to undermine the foundations of this country. And in the process, they have become much more dangerous and ultimately much more deadly. That’s not to say that we haven’t had any real victories against wokeness, or leftism, in recent years. We have. But the battle is very, very far from over. Cut off one tentacle of this giant squid-like beast, and it grows another.
