Pro-choicers go on ad nauseum about how pro-lifers need to get their hands off all uteruses. If that is so, why do they keep making pro-lifers pay for it?
Take New Jersey, for example, where a recent bill was passed to force taxpayers into funding the abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood.
According to LifeNews, the so-called “garden state” has now passed a “bill to send $7.5 million tax dollars to the abortion chain Planned Parenthood.” The state’s new pro-choice Gov. Phil Murphy has promised to sign the bill into law.
“We have eight years of neglect to reverse,” Murphy said on Monday.
For all of Gov. Chris Christie’s flaws, he did sign into law measures to block tax dollars to Planned Parenthood. He also vetoed Planned Parenthood funding numerous times and sent the funds to community health centers.
Advocates with New Jersey Right to Life have called the new bill “morally irresponsible.”
“This is a fiscally and morally irresponsible use of our tax dollars, especially since Planned Parenthood is currently under investigation by the FBI,” the pro-life group said in a statement. “In fact, Governor Murphy was on News12 Tuesday night (2/13) telling callers, ‘We have no money,’ yet he will find $7.45M of our tax dollars to fund the scandal-ridden Planned Parenthood!”
Gov. Murphy will sign the bill into law on Wednesday alongside abortion activists and Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards. Pro-choicers will especially find the day a cause for celebration after eight years under Chris Christie, whom they claimed violated women by denying them access to health care.
Those talking points are a lie, of course. Marie Tasy, executive director of New Jersey Right to Life, said federally qualified health centers in the state provided low-income residents the health care they needed.
“It is both irresponsible and unconscionable that Senate and Assembly leaders and Governor Murphy are moving full steam ahead to force New Jersey taxpayers to fund Planned Parenthood, an organization that is currently under investigation by the FBI for the illegal sale of baby body parts,” Tasy said.
