Miley Cyrus personally responded to the rumors and allegations from insider sources that her marriage with Liam Hemsworth ended due to her infidelity in an explosive Twitter thread on Thursday attesting to her innocence.
“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide,” Cyrus began. “It is no secret that I was into partying in my teens and early 20’s. I have not only smoked, but advocated for weed, I’ve experimented with drugs, my biggest song to date is about dancing on molly and snorting lines in the bathroom.”
Miley Cyrus then listed several of her biggest mistakes and regrets while growing up, which includes cheating on past boyfriends.
“I f***ed up and cheated in relationships when I was young. I lost a massive Walmart deal at 17 for ripping a bong,” she said. “I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it. I swung on a wrecking ball naked.”
Regarding her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus claims she loved him and committed to him.
“There are NO secrets to uncover here,” she said. “I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP. I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”
“You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul-mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar,” she concluded. “I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where i was when I was a younger.”
Last week, after Cyrus announced her split from Hemsworth, both resorted to ugly accusations of impropriety against each other, with Liam accusing Miley of sexual infidelity while she accused him of drug abuse.
“This is another attempt by Miley to distract from her infidelity and recent outrageous public behavior,” a source close to Hemsworth told TMZ.
The allegations against Miley Cyrus came after photos surfaced of her kissing Brody Jenner’s ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter, while vacationing in Italy, with witnesses later reporting that the two were seen in a club “basically having sex” in a West Hollywood club. Her alleged behavior stood in line with statements she made to Elle magazine for the August issue in which she referred to her marriage as “unique” and “complex” while admitting that she still feels a sexual attraction toward women despite being in a “hetero relationship.”
“I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique,” Cyrus told Elle. “And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it.”
“I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f***ing apron cooking dinner?” she continued. “I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f***ing good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”
