Michael Moore’s Obsession With Trump Gets The Best Of Him Again On Twitter

   DailyWire.com

The always insufferable Michael Moore returns once more. After hospital and body camera footage surfaced Friday of the arrest of Alex Wubbels, a University of Utah nurse who refused Detective Jeff Payne’s demands to draw blood from an unconscious patient, Moore took to Twitter to illuminate the country once again.

“Here’s what it looks like now in Trump’s America,” Moore tweeted, predictably. “The authoritarian police state he so loves is now everywhere. Please watch this video.”

In the video, Wubbels explains to the detective hospital protocols for collecting blood samples and at one instance even has her supervisor on speaker phone.

“You’re making a huge mistake because you’re threatening a nurse,” the supervisor says.

Payne then grabs ahold of Wubbels, pushes her against a wall and cuffs her.

“Help! Help me! Stop! You’re assaulting me! Stop! I’ve done nothing wrong!” she screams.

The Salt Lake City Police Department has placed Payne and another employee on administrative leave while a criminal investigation is underway. In a joint statement released last Friday with Mayor Jackie Biskupski, Salt Lake City Police Department Chief Mike Brown said “I was alarmed by what I saw in the video with our officer and Ms. (Wubbels). I am sad at the rift this has caused between law enforcement and the nurses we work so closely with.”

Mayor Biskupski added, “No medical professional in Salt Lake City should be hindered from performing their duties, and certainly not be fearful of the police officers they so often partner with to save lives.”

In other words, law and order won the day. For some mysterious reason, however, Moore failed to issue a tweet citing that as a defining feature of “Trump’s America.”

In the same week, Moore told Fast Company that he predicts Trump will be elected in 2020, and earlier last month, he joined other Hollywood sages including Olivia Wilde, Zoe Kazan, and Mark Ruffalo in New York City to clamor together about white supremacy shortly after the attacks in Charlottesville. A month after Trump’s victory, Moore outlined his five steps of “resistance” on Facebook.

The filmmaker has also taken his indignation to the stage with his one-man show, “The Terms of My Surrender,” which you can read all about in a beautifully scathing review by none other than The New York Times right here.
