Lori Loughlin’s Daughter Dropped From Sephora Amid Cheating Scandal, Other Sponsors Hang In Balance

   DailyWire.com

On Thursday, top beauty brand Sephora cut ties with YouTube personality Olivia Jade Giannulli, the daughter of “Full House” actress Lori Loughlin.

The brand was pressured to cut ties with Olivia Jade after news broke that Loughlin and her designer husband Mossimo Giannulli allegedly bribed the University of Southern California (USC) with $500,000 to get their two daughters into the college via recruit designations for USC’s crew team.

Olivia Jade’s Sephora collaboration was quickly bombarded with 1-star reviews on the beauty company’s website in the aftermath of the scandal.

Sephora confirmed Thursday that they will no longer sponsor Olivia Jade, who has some 1.9 million YouTube subscribers.

“After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately,” a spokesperson said in a statement to Refinery29. As noted by the outlet, “The product has already been removed from the site — along with hundreds of 1-star reviews — but Jade has yet to comment since returning from her yacht trip.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a number of other big-name sponsorship deals still hang in the balance for Olivia Jade, such as Dolce & Gabbana Beauty, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Smashbox Beauty Cosmetics, Too Faced Cosmetics, Boohoo, and TRESemmé.

In a statement released Thursday, fashion retailer Lulus co-founder and CEO Colleen Winter said the company “has not worked with Olivia Jade since August 2018 and we have no plans to do so in the future,” reported Variety.

HP told The Daily Wire in a statement that they currently do not have a relationship with Olivia Jade: “HP worked with Lori Loughlin and Olivia Jade in 2017 for a one time product campaign. HP does not currently have a relationship with either of them.”

Loughlin turned herself over to the FBI on Wednesday and was eventually released on $1 million bond. She will have to surrender her passport in November.

Academy Award nominee and “Desperate Housewives” actress Felicity Huffman was also caught-up in the bribery scandal. She was reportedly arrested at her home by officers with drawn guns on Tuesday. According to Fox News, Huffman “appeared in Los Angeles federal court Tuesday looking visibly tired before posting $250,000 bail and surrendering her passport.”

As reported by The Daily Wire, Loughlin was dropped by the Hallmark Channel on Thursday:

According to Fox News, Crown Media, parent company for the Hallmark Channel, confirmed that Lori Loughlin will no longer be a talent on the channel. Her series, “When Calls the Heart,” will also not be airing this coming Sunday.

“We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations,” said Crown Media in a statement. “We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin, including ‘Garage Sale Mysteries,’ an independent third-party production. We are evaluating all creative options related to ‘When Calls the Heart’ series.”

NOTE: The post has been altered to include a direct statement from HP reflecting their relationship with Olivia Jade Giannulli and Lori Loughlin.
