Limbaugh: If A Republican Said What Hillary Said About Booker, They’d Be ‘Finished’

   DailyWire.com

On Monday, Rush Limbaugh highlighted a topic that inevitably comes up frequently on his radio show: Democratic hypocrisy — and, more particularly, Democratic hypocrisy on the issue of racially charged comments.

Limbaugh took a moment to give twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton a chance to demonstrate once again why she lost against a former reality TV star with the media unified against him and the worst likability score of any presidential candidate since pollsters first coined the term “likability.”

“Did you hear what happened to Hillary?” he said, calling up the soundbite. “At the 92nd Street Y, Hillary Rodham Clinton was there being interviewed by Kaisha Swisher, who is a ‘tech blog journalist’ starting at the Wall Street Journal and is now part of the Vox or Axios empire. She works at something called Recode Decode, and Kara Swisher asks Mrs. Clinton about Senator Cory Booker.”

He then played the clip, which featured this instantly infamous exchange:

SWISHER: What do you think about him saying, “Kick them in the shins,” essentially. Start to get to that kind of political —

HILLARY: That was Eric Holder.

SWISHER: Eric…? Oh, Eric Holder. Yeah.

HILLARY: I know they all look alike.

SWISHER: No, they don’t.

CROWD: (laughter)

“What? What? Whaaaat?” said Limbaugh, playing the clip again.

“‘They all look alike,'” he said. “That’s Hillary Clinton trying to save Kara Swisher for confusing Spartacus with Eric Holder, and Mrs. Clinton says, ‘Well, yeah. I know they all look alike.’ Swisher: ‘No, they don’t! No, they don’t!’ The audience at the 92nd Street Y starts laughing like they heard the best joke they’ve heard in a long time.”

Rush then got to his point: “Now, you let anybody else up there be saying this stuff, and they are finished! I mean, it’s not even close. They are finished! If this was a Republican, male or female, they are finished.”

But not so with Democrats, who are given a permanent pass on such racially charged remarks. “With Mrs. Clinton, the 92nd Street Y audience in Manhattan starts laughing. It’s just greatest grand old time!” said Limbaugh.

“‘Everybody knows what she meant,'” he said imitating Clinton defenders. “Yeah? What did she mean? What does it mean, ‘Well, yeah, they all look like alike’? ‘Ha-ha-ha-ha!’ Everybody starts laughing. The woman who thinks that she should have been president, the woman who thinks she’s gonna be president, the woman who can’t wait to run again in 2020.”

RUSH: Did you hear what happened to Hillary? Let me check the sound bite roster just real quick to see if I’ve got this. (muttering) Because if I do, it will be funny. (muttering) I don’t. It’s no big deal. (muttering) Nate Silver… Don’t have it. No big deal. Hillary Clinton was at the 92nd Street Y. (interruption) Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Yeah, we do. Grab audio sound bite No. 22. Hillary Clinton was in the 92nd Street Y.

I have been interviewed at the 92nd Street Y. I was interviewed there by Jeff Greenfield. At the time, I didn’t know what it was. I was real new in New York. The radio program was exploding. Greenfield said, “You’ve gotta come by! We do this thing every now and then at the 92nd Street Y. Let people get to know you.” I didn’t know it was a setup. I had no idea. I was there to justify my position on abortion to a largely Jewish audience, a liberal Jewish audience.

I didn’t know what it was, but now I do. At the 92nd Street Y, Hillary Rodham Clinton was there being interviewed by Kaisha Swisher, who is a “tech blog journalist” starting at the Wall Street Journal and is now part of the Vox or Axios empire. She works at something called Recode Decode, and Kara Swisher asks Mrs. Clinton about Senator Cory Booker…

RUSH: What? What? Whaaaat? Let me hear this again. This is Hillary Clinton and Kara Swisher at the 92nd Street Y. Kara Swisher is asking Mrs. Clinton about Senator Cory Booker. Listen closely…
