Scandal star Kerry Washington is set to produce a new abortion-centered flick: an adaptation of The New York Times best-selling book The Mothers, written by Brit Bennett and released last October.
The novel takes an “unflinching look at abortion, the black church, love and friendship through the years,” according to The Root.
