George Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, has made it abundantly clear that he is not a fan of his wife’s boss. In his most recent public criticism of President Trump, Conway promoted one of the Democrats’ favorite lines of attack: Trump is mentally unfit to fulfill his duties as President of the United States. His mental ailment, Conway suggested in a series of tweets, is “narcissistic personality disorder.”
Conway, who frequently posts criticisms of Trump, issued a series of Trump-slamming tweets and retweets this week, including diagnosing Trump with “narcissistic personality disorder,” for which the Washington-based lawyer provided a definition for his followers: “a pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning in early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five or more of the following: has a grandiose sense of self-importance…, is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, brilliance, beauty or ideal love….believes that he or she is special or unique…requires excessive admiration…etc.”
