Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of attempting to force himself on her when she was 15 and he was 17, is scheduled to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday. The committee has released her prepared opening statement.
In the statement, Blasey Ford names the four people she claims were at the party at which the alleged assault took place, all of whom have denied any knowledge of the incident in sworn statements to the committee. She says one other boy was at the party but does not remember his name. She also provides more details about when she first began to tell others about the alleged assault, what led to her decision to come forward, and the threats she and her family have received since she revealed her identity.
