Justice Ginsburg Praises Brett Kavanaugh For Hiring An All-Female Team Of Law Clerks

Feminists waged a scorched earth battle to keep Justice Brett Kavanaugh from sitting on the Supreme Court. Little did they know he would actually make history by dramatically increasing the number of female clerks serving on the court — a move that has earned praise from left-wing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

According to Fox News, the notoriously feminist justice praised Kavanaugh for his efforts to increase the female presence on the U.S. Supreme Court when delivering a speech before a conference of judges in New York.

“Justice Kavanaugh made history by bringing on board an all-female law clerk crew,” Ginsburg said. “Thanks to his selections, the court has this term, for the first time ever, more women than men serving as law clerks.”

Despite that, Ginsburg still lamented the lack of overall female presence in the U.S. Supreme Court, especially the lawyers delivering oral arguments.

“Women did not fare nearly as well as advocates,” Justice Ginsburg said. “Only about 21 percent of the attorneys presenting oral argument this term were female; of the 34 attorneys who appeared more than once, only six were women.”

Indeed, Kavanaugh often boasted of giving women professional opportunities throughout his contentious and brutal confirmation battle, which dragged on for several weeks after a woman by the name of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexually assaulting her a pool party in high school. He emphatically denied the allegations, which had zero corroborative evidence or witnesses.

“In my time on the bench, no federal judge — not a single one in the country — has sent more women law clerks to clerk on the Supreme Court than I have,” Kavanaugh told the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Of course, the Left tried to use Justice Kavanaugh’s reputation for hiring women against him during the confirmation battle. The Huffington Post, for instance, interviewed a former Yale law student who said professors told her Kavanaugh hired women with a “certain look” upon her applying for one of his clerkships. In the end, she said nothing unusual happened during her interview and he treated her cordially, nor did she hear rumors of sexual impropriety on his part.

Justice Ginsburg showed true collegiality by highlighting Brett Kavanaugh’s impeccable conduct on the court. She shares company with Justice Sotomayor, who said upon Kavanaugh’s confirmation that she gladly welcomed him into the SCOTUS “family.”

“It was Justice (Clarence) Thomas who tells me that when he first came to the Court, another justice approached him and said, ‘I judge you by what you do here. Welcome.’ And I repeated that story to Justice Kavanaugh when I first greeted him here,” Sotomayor told former Obama advisor David Axelrod.

“When you’re charged with working together for most of the remainder of your life, you have to create a relationship,” she continued. “The nine of us are now a family and we’re a family with each of us [having] our own burdens and our own obligations to others, but this is our work family, and it’s just as important as our personal family.”
