“The View” co-host Joy Behar has apologized for using the wrong pronoun when referencing former Olympian-turned-transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner.

On Friday, when discussing Jenner’s proposed run for California governor against Democrat incumbent Gavin Newsom, Behar used the pronoun “he” several times regarding Jenner, an almost unforgivable sin in leftist circles.

“He’s got this guy Brad Parscale running his campaign. What do you think about that? I mean that guy was accused of using campaign funds to enrich himself,” Behar told co-host Sunny Hostin.

Behar corrected herself upon using the wrong pronoun again.

“That’s who is running his campaign, or her campaign, rather,” Behar said.

Later in the show, Behar excused the slip of the tongue, blaming it on lack of sleep.

“So first of all let me apologize for my pronoun mix-up, I think I just didn’t get enough sleep last night. I had no intention of missing them up, and I tried to correct it immediately, but, whatever, it just came out, so I’m sorry if anybody was upset by that,” she said.

The left is so serious about pronouns that House rules unveiled earlier this year by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), were completely gender-neutral. In an effort to be inclusive to those who don’t identify as a specific gender, the rules package stripped all mention of gender-specific pronouns and terms such as “man,” “woman,” “mother” and “son.”

Many liberals even put their preferred pronouns in their social media bios so people don’t use the wrong terms when engaging in conversation.

Jenner, a Republican, announced plans Friday to run for governor of California. “I’m in! California is worth fighting for,” she tweeted.

As reported by Fox News, Jenner has assembled a weighty team for the gubernatorial campaign against Newsom, “including 2016 and 2020 Trump presidential campaign pollster Tony Fabrizio and Steven Cheung, a Trump White House and reelection campaign aide who worked on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s California gubernatorial recall election win in 2003.”

In the announcement for governor, Jenner knocked the Democratic Party’s stranglehold on the once Golden State of California.

“California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality,” Jenner said. “But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision.”

Jenner likewise ripped Gavin Newsom for high taxes and his crippling lockdown of the state.

“Taking on entrenched Sacramento politicians and the special interests that fund them requires a fighter who isn’t afraid to do what is right. I am a proven winner and the only outsider who can put an end to Gavin Newsom’s disastrous time as governor,” said Jenner.

“Small businesses have been devastated because of the over-restrictive lockdown. An entire generation of children have lost a year of education and have been prevented from going back to school, participating in activities, or socializing with their friends,” Jenner added.
