Jim Carrey Posts ‘Sarah Sanders’ Painting, Loses More Fans

Jim Carrey’s journey into “the everything” — which apparently means increasingly bizarre antics, hyper-partisan political tirades and childlike painting — continued over the weekend with a new addition to his political painting portfolio: a portrait of what many have interpreted to be Sarah Huckabee Sanders — a “wicked” and “monstrous” Sarah Huckabee Sanders, that is.

Carrey introduced his newest work by slamming the subject for her “so called Christian” beliefs. “This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!” he wrote.

A few of his followers seemed to agree with his sentiment, and even praised the piece, but judging by a majority of the reactions, the portrait doesn’t seem to have won him many fans; in fact, the pushback was strong enough that even AP noticed.

Several followers signaled that he’s officially lost them, as has Hollywood in general, while others smacked him for his criticism of Sanders’ faith. A few examples:

This isn’t the first political painting Carrey has posted. The actor made headlines in February after the horrific mass shooting in Parkland by posting a bloody political image:

As The Daily Wire’s Joseph Curl noted at the time, while many of his 1.8 million followers praised the “powerful” piece that presented the “brutal truth” of school shootings, others weren’t as impressed, including some noting the “brutal truth” of Carrey’s alleged role in the tragic overdose death of his girlfriend. A day after posting the Parkland-inspired piece, Carrey tweeted out another painting announcing that he was “fading into the everything”:
