On Sunday night, First Lady Melania Trump and First Son Barron, 11, officially made their move into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
“Looking forward to the memories we’ll make in our new home! #Movingday” tweeted Melania, captioning a photo of the Washington Monument.
Mrs. Trump and her 11-year-old son delayed their move to Washington for six months after President Trump’s move due to Barron’s schooling having already begun in New York City. Barron is set to attend St. Andrews Episcopal in the fall, a school located just outside of Washington.
As noted by AFP, “Melania is the first First Lady in modern history to delay her arrival in Washington after an election win.”
The former model, who was recently revealed to be of the Catholic faith during her trip to meet Pope Francis at the Vatican, is the first Catholic to live in the White House since President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie.
Democrats, suddenly (and insincerely) fiscally responsible, have used the extra cost of security detail for Melania and Barron as a #Resistance talking point. They’ll now have to resort to another phony, stale Russian collusion story to refill their arsenal.
