Actress Bette Midler shared a close-up snap of a woman’s chest wearing a yellow top that had a message slamming men as pigs and referencing how “80% of woman” are reportedly “against marriage,” then asking why that was the case.
The 76-year-old actress shared the eyebrow-raising post on Twitter on Tuesday to her millions of followers. The post contained a message that harkened back to an old saying — “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?” — before taking a swipe at men.

“For all those men who say, ‘Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?’” the shirt read. “Here’s an update for you. Nowadays, 80% of women are against marriage. Why?”
“Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage,” the shirt message added, a possible reference to the male anatomy.
The “Beaches” star often takes to social media to share her random and sometimes unhinged thoughts. The last one that ended up drawing a backlash against the actress pertained to the nationwide shortage of baby formula. At the time, she told women to “try breastfeeding.”

Both her supporters and critics came out and slammed the actress, hitting back with how ignorant the tweet made her sound, as reported previously by The Daily Wire. Conservatives and liberals agreed Midler’s comments were wrong. Some of her followers even suggested that actress’ account must’ve been hacked.
But the “Big Business” star appeared to double-down in a follow-up tweet a short time later, “People are piling on because of former tweet. No shame if you can’t breastfeed, but if you can & are somehow convinced that your own milk isn’t as good as a ‘scientifically researched product,’ that’s something else again. The monopoly news is news to me, tho, no lie. #WETNURSES.”
