Last night, Donald Trump honored the sacrifice of Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens during his Joint Session to Congress. Owens’ widow Carryn was in the audience seated next to his daughter Ivanka. After telling Carryn that Ryan’s legacy was “etched into eternity,” the audience erupted with applause that lasted two minutes.
Many commentators praised Trump’s words to Carryn Owens, including leftist CNN Commentator Van Jones. Jones, who has been a vocal critic of the President, acknowledged that Trump’s interaction with Carryn represents “one of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics, period.” He also expressed that Trump became President of the United States and a unifier at that moment.
After his statements on CNN, many on social media suspected that Jones would get slammed by the regressive left for daring to praise him.

Unfortunately, Liam Donovan was correct. Many regressive leftists said that Van Jones sold out and some even referred to him as an “Uncle Tom.”

Once again, the left eats their own when they walk outside the reservation. Jones is a known advocate for left-wing policies and views and made a career fighting for social justice. However, those accolades did not matter because Jones had the audacity to praise Trump honoring a Gold Star wife and her husband’s sacrifice. The human centipede known as the radical American left will continue to feast on each other as long as more people start recognizing that their tactics and their rhetoric are causing Democrats to lose elections.
