<p>House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) on Sunday slammed the Republican Party for contemplating removing GOP Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her leadership position. According to Clyburn, the discussion taking place within the Republican Party is evidence of &#8220;cancel culture.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t agree with Liz [Cheney] on much politically but, you know, that&#8217;s how we grow as a country. This whole thing that everybody ought to march in lockstep, that is what leads people to destruction. People ought to have a diversity of thought. Diversity is very, very important,&#8221; Clyburn told CNN&#8217;s Jake Tapper. &#8220;You want to limit it to gender and sometimes your race, it is also about thought. And I want to see a strong Republican Party.&#8221;</p>
