Here’s The Pro-Life Dress Singer Joy Villa Wore To The Grammy Awards

On Sunday night, singer and political activist Joy Villa rocked a white outfit with an explicit pro-life message.

Villa’s white dress featured a hand-painted photo of an unborn baby surrounded by the colors of the rainbow. She also carried a purse with the words “Choose Life” written on it.

Many were quick to praise Villa for her statement, which is certainly out of step with Hollywood. Even those skeptical of Villa’s motives — some on the right have suggested Villa is a mere opportunist — made note of her bravery for being daring enough to veer from Hollywood GroupThink, “[e]ven if she’s only doing this for attention.”

Mainstream media outlets like CBS and The Hill were quick to politically correct Villa’s message as “anti-abortion rights.”

This isn’t the first time Villa has rocked the boat at the Grammys. At last year’s award show, the singer sported a blue “Make America Great Again” dress which earned her praise from the Trumps.

In December, Villa announced a possible congressional run in Florida. “I’m looking everywhere from Jacksonville all the way down to Miami,” she told Fox & Friends. Soon after the segment, President Trump wished Villa luck via Twitter.

Later that month, Villa accused former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski of smacking her butt multiple times at a holiday party. “I’m wearing this silver suit and stretchy pants, and after the photo, he smacks my ass really hard. … It was completely demeaning and shocking,” she said.

Lewandowski denied the allegations.

Villa is reportedly a “hardcore Scientologist” who backed Bernie Sanders pre-Trump Grammy dress.
