The Biden administration is requesting that unrelated bureaucrats deploy to the southern border to help with an influx of unaccompanied minors in holding facilities.

Human resources encouraged Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) employees to take a leave of absence from their position to volunteer as “Field Specialists” at the southern border, according to an email obtained by The Daily Wire.

The email claims that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is in “urgent need” of specialists to work with unaccompanied minors.

“As you are probably aware, unaccompanied minors are passing through the southern U.S. border at a high rate,” the email reads. “The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is in urgent need of Field Specialists to help with processing; currently, they have only 1 Field Specialist to every 50 children.”

HHS will reimburse EPA employees for their travel, salary, and more. According to the email, COVID-19 tests are “not required,” though deployment status will place an employee in the CDC’s Category 1B for obtaining a vaccine.

According to a job posting for federal employees, this opportunity is available to other agencies outside of the EPA.

HHS did not respond to requests for comment in time for publication.

The volunteer opportunity requires employees to travel to Dallas for “in-processing, training, issuance of equipment,” and more. Trained employees will then be deployed to various facilities along the border, specifically, San Antonio and San Diego.

The San Diego Convention Center is currently being used to house minor immigrants because of the dramatic influx of children arriving at the border. Many of them are being offered in-person education services.

“Employees will work in 12-hour shifts conducting service intake interviews, connecting children to family members and sponsors, and performing other related work,” the email reads.

Deployment of unrelated federal employees to the southern border comes as the Biden administration maintains that there is no “crisis” at the border. Meanwhile, rogue journalists are uncovering the problematic elements of the Biden administration’s response to the surge of migrants.

The Daily Wire reported:

Secretly recorded video obtained by Project Veritas reportedly shows migrants, including children, being held under a bridge in a “makeshift” processing center for U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP).

According to a report from the undercover journalist group, an insider secretly recorded footage under the Anzalduas International Bridge “in an effort to illustrate the inhumane conditions illegal immigrants — many of them minors — face while in custody.”

The border influx has brought with it a surge of human smugglers as well. On Tuesday night, two young toddlers were dropped over a 14-foot-tall barrier into the United States at the New Mexico border, according to The Daily Wire

CBP stated that the situation was life-threatening and involved “two female tender-aged toddlers mistreated and abandoned by human smugglers just west of Mt. Cristo Rey.”
