Former Porn Actress Leaves Business After Finding God

Porn viewers knew her as Jenna Presley, but today she’s Brittni De La Mora after giving her life over to God. She spent nearly a decade in the porn industry but has now shed that identity to spread the Gospel of Christ.

In an interview with Fox News, De La Mora said that she began her descent into the adult film world by dancing at strip clubs to pay for college, which stemmed from her lack of self-worth due to her broken home life.

“I grew up in a broken household so I really didn’t know my value or my worth,” she said. “I discovered early on that if I was naked in the presence of men that I was going to get what I didn’t get at home — and that was affirmation.”

De La Mora switched over to acting in porn at age 18 when two Los Angeles producers approached her at the strip club. “You’re beautiful, you’re destined to be a star,” they allegedly told her.

“From that point forward, I was picked up by a premier agency and I was in the [porn] industry for seven years,” she said.

De La Mora enjoyed acting in porn “for about a month” until she contracted a sexually-transmitted disease.

“I’d never gotten an STD in my life so I thought from that point on, ‘What am I doing in this business?'” she said. “I didn’t want to admit that I made a mistake so I kept pressing forward.”

Eventually, De La Mora turned to heroin and cocaine to cope with her dissatisfaction. After three years, she hit her “breaking point” and returned to church with her grandfather where she “met Jesus as my Lord and Savior.” Things took a dark turn, however, when “another man” came into De La Mora’s life “who turned out to be a pimp.” This would lead her back to porn for another three and a half years until she experienced another spiritual awakening.

“I went to go film a porn scene in Las Vegas and brought my Bible with me on the airplane and I was reading scripture,” De La Mora told Fox News. “At which point I really felt that [God was telling me], ‘Brittni, this isn’t the life that I have for you…know that I have something so much greater in store for you but I need you to give me a step of faith today. I need you to quit the industry and I promise you, your life is going to turn around.'”

“So I quit the industry that day and I’ve been out since December 2012.”

Over six years later, De La Mora is now a proud wife of a pastor named Richard. The two most recently penned a two-part book called “Fire and Fresh” to address couples who have “lost the excitement” in their relationship.

“My husband and I believe the greatest relationship is the relationship with God and with each other,” she shared. “If those relationships are on fire, everything else will be on fire.”

For other young women considering the adult film industry, De La Mora has a message for them: “I would just really encourage them to not think about the now because I always lived by what was going to make me happy in the moment and I never ever considered the future. And if you really think about the future, do you want to deal with the repercussions of having your sexual acts all over the Internet for the rest of your life?”

To illustrate the repercussions of the porn industry, De La Mora noted that she will never be able to remove the videos of her past on the Internet and worries about how to explain that to her future children. That should be enough of a scare for women contemplating that lifestyle.
