Football Star Hides His Kaepernick Criticism, Trump Support Ahead Of NFL Draft

John Bickley

Former Ohio State defensive star Nick Bosa has made clear in the past that he isn’t afraid to make his political opinions known, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to hurt his draft stock doing so. In an interview with ESPN’s Kevin Van Valkenburg published Tuesday, Bosa succintly addressed why he recently chose to stop posting political comments, including his support for President Trump and criticism of some on the social justice left, particularly Colin Kaepernick.

When describing some of the differences between Nick and his older brother, Los Angeles Chargers star defensive end Joey Bosa, Van Valkenburg notes that Nick is “more politically minded” than his older brother, but his public comments, particularly about political topics, have become more “bland” recently.
