Fox’s “Family Guy” took a surprising turn this Christmas by mocking gender ideology and political correctness in general.

According to Newsbusters, the episode that aired this past Sunday featured the Griffin family setting up Christmas decorations wherein Peter unveils a gender-neutral crèche. Transcript:

Peter: All right, time to put up the 2020 Christmas decorations. First, ethnically-accurate Jesus goes right here next to Father Mary and Mother Josephine, followed closely by the three genderless Wise People on their Bird Scooters, Tig Notaro for some reason, and of course, the Little Drummer Them. Because God forbid we call a boy a boy.

Chris: Dad, what are you saying…?

Peter: I don’t like what the world is! I’m white! When’s it gonna be our turn?!

“Family Guy” has previously mocked the excesses of gender ideology to the point that Out Magazine deemed them “transphobic.”

“Family Guy once again reminded all of us how tired and outdated its sense of humor is by making some extremely lazy jokes about trans people in its most recent episode. During the October 6 installment, ‘Bri-Da,’ Quagmire’s trans mother, Ida, who has previously been the butt of many transmisogynistic and transphobic ‘jokes,’ came back to the show, and unfortunately absolutely nothing has changed,” the outlet wrote.

“Even for someone who has complained about the show’s violently transphobic history, I had forgotten until this week how bad Family Guy can be. What’s particularly disappointing, however, is that the show vowed to change,” it continued. “Earlier this year, Family Guy executive producers Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin said the longrunning comedy — which is now in its 17th (!!!) season — was going to be ‘phasing out’ gay jokes. That admission was followed by a February episode in which Peter has a heart-to-heart with Ida, which suggested the show was making good on its promise to be more LGBTQ+ inclusive.”

The show “South Park” generated similar controversy last year when it mocked the concept of biological males competing in women’s sports when the character Strong Woman went up against Heather Swanson, who looked uncannily similar to the late wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage and who identified as a female just “two weeks ago.”

“I’m not here to talk about my transition, I’m here to kick some f***ing a**,” said Heather Swanson in an undeniably masculine voice.

The episode prompted some serious backlash from transgender activists, including Rachel McKinnon, a transgender world track cycling champion, who denounced both “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker as transphobic.

“I’m not particularly mad about the South Park episode,” McKinnon said on Twitter. “Yes it’s transphobic. Yes it’s lazy. Yes it contributes to harm to trans women and girls. But they’re lazy and increasingly irrelevant. F***, ‘Futurama’ made the same stupid storyline in 2003. Transphobes don’t have new jokes.”

“‘South Park’ has been deeply transphobic the *entire time.* This isn’t their first explicitly transphobic storyline,” continued McKinnon. “It won’t be their last. Stone and Parker are transphobes. Write them off. Ignore their lazy show.”
