An ex-Democratic National Committee official said she was warned by the organization not to go against Her Majesty, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), who announced her resignation on Sunday from her position as vice chairwoman of the DNC to support Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), told MSNBC on Tuesday, “I’ll be very honest with you, a lot of people warned me against doing what I did.”
“But this is a very serious issue and what I did speaks to the high stakes that exist,” Gabbard said. “War is a very real thing, it’s real to me, it’s real to our service members and their families.”
Gabbard also warned of “interventionist wars and regime change” under a Clinton presidency.
Gabbard’s comments confirm the belief among many that the DNC is in the tank for coronating Clinton. However, Gabbard’s efforts to speak out against the DNC and support Sanders appear to be late, as Clinton has all but sewn up the nomination after a dominant Super Tuesday victory.
