A recent email hacking of former Secretary of State Colin Powell has added another heaping helping of awful news for the already-scandal-ridden Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
One such email correspondence between Powell and Jeffrey Leeds, a big Democratic donor, discussed Powell’s reluctance to vote for Hillary, “although she is a friend.” Powell called Hillary “greedy” and spoke of her “unbridled ambition.” But much more interestingly, Powell said that Bill Clinton is “still d*cking bimbos at home”—aligning with suspicions everyone already holds of the former president.
“I would rather not have to vote for her, although she is a friend I respect. A 70-year person with a long track record, unbridled ambition, greedy, not transformational, with a husband still d*cking bimbos at home,” wrote Powell, on July 26, 2014.
The former president has been accused of sexual misconduct—including rape—by at least 14 different women. Of course, Mr. Clinton eventually came clean about having sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky while serving in the Oval Office (literally) in 1998, while he was still married to his ambitious wife Hillary.
In the email dump, it also became evident that Powell urged the Hillary camp not to scapegoat him for her egregious email scandal.
“She was using email when she took over,” Powell wrote in another email, in late August. “They put the personal system in the basement a few months later. That dinner was June 16th. She didn’t need any advice of ok from me; she was already doing it. I gave her written guidance on why and how I had been doing it. I warned her staff three times over the past two years not to try to connect it to me. I am not sure HRC even knew or understood what was going on in the basement.”
