South Carolina: 6 Republicans, 1 Democrat

Virginia: 7 Republicans, 4 Democrats

West Virginia: 2 Republicans, 1 Open seat

The Southern Atlantic states are full of key races to watch.

In Georgia, the governor’s race is between progressive former state lawmaker Stacey Abrams and Republican Secretary of State Brian Kemp. Most polls show a tight race that gives Kemp a slight edge.

In Virginia, Republican Rep. Dave Brat, who famously ousted House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the 2014 primary, is now battling for his own career, and Republican Barbara Comstock is also vulnerable. And in West Virginia, it looks like Sen. Joe Manchin, a Democrat, will keep his seat, but there could always be a surprise upset.
