Efforts To Censor Pro-Life Film ‘Unplanned’ BACKFIRE In Major Way

   DailyWire.com

The media and big tech have tried their hardest to suppress the pro-life film, “Unplanned.” However, despite such efforts, things have gone a little, well, unplanned for the opposition.

On the heels of the film’s massive success at the box office in its opening weekend — racking up a higher cumulative per-screen revenue than big-budget SJW-approved “Captain Marvel” — the Twitter account for the film surpassed Planned Parenthood’s follower count.

The Twitter account for “Unplanned,” which is curiously unverified on the tech platform, now has 324,000-plus followers, some 65,000 more followers than the verified account for abortion mill Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

The surge in support comes in the wake of apparent censorship from the platform, as reported by The Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra on Monday.

First, the “Unplanned” account was temporarily suspended on Saturday due to a supposed Twitter “error.” When the account was restored after a major backlash, folks attempting to follow were unable to do so — or those who did follow were quickly removed from the account. Again, this was definitely not intentionally done on Twitter’s end, they said, pointing to an apparent glitch.

As posed by journalist Tim Pool, who recently questioned Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, “How many grains of sand make a heap?”

“How many mistakes do they need to make before they realize maybe there is a systemic problem on their platform pointing in one direction?” pondered Pool in a video he uploaded on Monday about the apparent censorship of the pro-life film. “It’s very convenient for [Twitter] to say, ‘something happened behind the scenes — trust us.’ I don’t,” he added.

The journalist also pointed out YouTube’s curious behavior when he tried to upload a video about, ironically, the censorship of “Unplanned.”

“In an odd coincidence, I made a video today about the suspension of [“Unplanned”] and the weirdest thing happened,” he wrote. “Youtube didn’t publish the video as scheduled. It kept giving me an unknown error when I tried to manually publish it.”

Notably, Abby Johnson, the former Planned Parenthood executive-turned-whistleblower upon whom the biopic is based, is still unverified on Twitter even though she has applied “at least a dozen times” for the recognition. So, too, is the account for Ashley Bratcher, the lead actress who portrays Johnson in the flick.

Again, this all just a coincidence, of course. No bias on Twitter’s end.

Additionally, as noted by The Daily Wire on Sunday evening, “Unplanned,” which outlines Johnson’s dramatic journey from abortion mouthpiece to pro-life crusader, took in an estimated $6,110,000 in its opening weekend, more than doubling what it was expected to generate.

The film also dominated in audience reviews, scoring a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and earning an impressive A+ rating from CinemaScore.

When Planned Parenthood tried to silence Johnson, her message was only amplified, and when big tech and major networks tried the same with “Unplanned,” the film’s reach only widened.
