An SJW leftist mob harassed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and his wife Heidi at a D.C. restaurant this week, forcing the couple to leave.
Similar to the reactions after White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders endured the same indignity, leftists have cheered the stunt, suggesting that Ted Cruz had it coming.
CNN anchor Don Lemon went as far to say on his show Tuesday that though he does not like harassment, he feels that it “goes with the territory” of serving in congress.
“In a way, I think it goes with the territory,” Lemon said. “I don’t like that they were blocking his wife, but that’s what he signed up for. And as a strict constitutionalist, which Ted Cruz is, he knows it is protected under the First Amendment.”
“I don’t like it,” he added. “I don’t like it happening to his wife. That’s what he signed up for. That’s part of the deal. I don’t like it, but it is one reason I’m not a public official, that I’m not running for office.”
The harassing of Ted Cruz follows a repeated pattern of conservatives being harassed and heckled in public places. Earlier this year, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) even called upon anti-Trump activists to publicly harass members of the Trump administration wherever they find them.
