According to Page Six, “The Mooch” has asked his soon-to-be ex-wife Deidre Ball for a paternity test, “because he believes the newborn son whose birth he missed during his historically-brief tenure in the White House is not his.”
Wow … Just when we thought we had seen the last of Anthony Scaramucci for a while, he marches back onstage for an encore.
The couple, who have been in the process of getting divorced since early July, have a four-year-old son together, and welcomed their second child, James, on July 24, 2017. Well … Ms. Ball did at least. Scaramucci was busy acting as “hype man” for President Trump at a speech given to the Boy Scouts in West Virginia. He did manage to text his wife though, saying, “Congratulations, I’ll pray for our child.” The Mooch, who lasted only 11 days as Donald Trump’s White House Communications Director, apparently didn’t return to meet his child for six days after his birth.
Page Six’s source on the paternity matter says, “He is actually contesting the paternity of the newborn, which is the same as dropping a hand grenade into any divorce action and possible amicable resolution, and Deidre strongly rejects his claim.” The source continues, “You don’t make that sort of claim unless you are nuts. He will be easily proven wrong.”
Ms. Ball has retained divorce lawyers Bernard Clair and Dan Rottenstreich, who have represented other high-profile clients in the past, including Bill O’Reilly.
Whether the Mooch fully understands how babies are made is still unclear. He has, in the past, described anatomically improbable sex acts performed on oneself. Or he may just be confused as to where babies come from. At this point it’s difficult to say. What’s clear though, is that for entertainment value at least, Anthony Scaramucci should never, ever go away.
