DESPERATION: HuffPo Tells Democrats To Stack SCOTUS With 11 Justices Next Term

   DailyWire.com

Desperation is the Left’s modus operandi now that Justice Anthony Kennedy has announced his retirement from the Supreme Court. Instead of stealthily pushing their fascism, they now advocate it openly. In fact, it’s their only recourse. Case-in-point: HuffPo literally just advocated that Democrats stack SCOTUS with 11 justices come next presidential term so they can implement their agenda by fiat.

“Hey, Democrats: Pack The Court,” reads the headline by Zach Carter.

With the many wins the Trump administration received during this last round of SCOTUS decisions, Zach Carter laments that all three branches of power — Legislative, Judicial, and Executive — are being “used to advance the ideology and agenda of international fascism,” which he believes can only be beaten by implementing a fascist idea of his own: a Supreme Court flooded with leftists. He also stresses that should conservatives have their way, Barack Obama’s precious legacy and the beloved Roe v. Wade will go into the ash-heap of history.

“Democrats have no choice but to implement structural reforms to the judiciary if they hope to prevent decades of rule by the alt-right in America,” writes Carter. “At a minimum, that will mean expanding the Supreme Court bench to 11 justices under the next Democratic president. Other reforms, including term limits to remove aging conservatives, may well be appropriate.”

To give some level of precedent for this blatant and wholly-desperate affront on all things democratic, Carter provides a small history lesson on this “court-packing,” which has been used to similar effect at times. FDR even floated the idea of 15 justices to suit his agenda:

The court was founded in 1789 with just six justices and has included as many as 10 ― from 1863 to 1866, when a Republican legislature intentionally shrank the court size to seven justices to prevent President Andrew Johnson from making any appointments. In 1937, with the Supreme Court habitually striking down President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s efforts to save the country from the Great Depression, FDR floated the idea of expanding the court to as many as 15 justices. The history of “court-packing,” as it became known, is unbecoming. But lawmakers keep coming back to variants of the idea because it works. Even after FDR retreated from his proposal amid a profound outcry from Southern Democrats, the justices sitting on the court got his message and began issuing more sympathetic rulings on the New Deal.

Carter concludes that once Democrats have their political power, they must use that power with all its might and force to ensure that Republicans never can gain it back. Again, he advocates all of this totalitarianism in the name of stopping fascism.

“The choice between court-packing (in 2021) and international fascism should not be difficult,” Carter concludes. “Democrats can’t get their ends ― a decent society of mutual respect and shared prosperity ― by ignoring the means of power. Playing nice with fascist enablers in Washington will not stop fascism.”
