Many interesting events occurred after the House Republicans passed the American Health Care Act (AHCA) ranging from Democrats spreading false propaganda to claiming that Republicans would now be accomplices to murder. However, one rumor emerged that put the Democratic Media Complex into its natural state of outrageous disarray, led by House Minority Leader and Obamacare architect Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
The story? Republicans popped beer bottles following the passage of the AHCA. It all started from the following tweet from VICE News‘ Alexandra Jaffe:
Cases upon cases of beer just rolled into the Capitol on a cart covered in a sheet. Spotted Bud Light peeking out from the sheet

Naturally, some of America’s finest propagandists joined the party.

Millions of Americans are about to lose health care coverage and the Republicans are drinking beer. Outrageous. #VoteNoAHCA https://t.co/H37cCCTXGW

They had time to plan a beer bash but not to read the bill or get a CBO score.

But there was a major problem with this story: This was fake news. Washington Free Beacon‘s Alex Griswold reported that two hours after breaking the story, Jaffe tracked down the man carting the beer only to discover that the beverages were not headed to a Republican meeting. Furtheremore, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI)’s communications adviser Michael Shapiro slammed CBS News for reporting the fake news and said that it was irresponsible for the press to push this story without any evidence.
This is completely and utterly false. Totally irresponsible to report this with zero evidence. https://t.co/lW6hvHRwiR

Swing and a miss, Democratic Media Complex. Better luck next time.
