Democrats Blast NYT After ‘Outrageous’ Trump Speech Headline; Times Makes Changes

A New York Times headline on President Donald Trump’s televised statement Monday condemning racism and calling for unity has triggered blowback from Democratic presidential candidates and inspired some of the paper’s Trump-critic readers to cancel their subscriptions. The backlash was swift and strong enough to prompt the paper to change the headline.

The leader of the establishment media is “being run through the shredder,” with many subscribers announcing that they’ve canceled their subscriptions, after what HuffPost describes as an “outrageous” headline about President Trump’s remarks addressing the horrific mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton that occurred over the weekend.
